Purpose:
To provide electricity basics and PV installation training for entry-level workers, and incumbent worker
certification in North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP’s). Entry Level Certificate
of Knowledge of Solar Photovoltaic(PV) Systems and Solar PV Installer Certification examination.
Target Population, Training Activities and Credentials:
Target Population, Training Activities and Credentials:
An entry-level electricity basics and PV installation training developing basic skills and understanding of
electrical and mechanical solar PV array design and components, safety information.
An incumbent worker training program for those with experience working with electrical systems who now
need NABCEP’s Entry Level Certificate of Knowledge of Solar PV Systems, or individuals who are
interested in becoming installers, and/or those who are interested in preparing for the
NABCEP Solar PV Installer Certification examination.
